For the past couple of years, Univrses’ has worked on technology that has the potential to revolutionize city management. We are now proud to announce that the first version of our smart city platform 3DAI™ City is live.
Cities are growing at a rapid pace. In 2030, 60% of the world’s population is expected to live in urban areas. As urbanization accelerates and populations increase, the need for technological progress becomes ever more urgent. Timely, relevant and actionable data about the city is one crucial key to urban evolution. It’s quite simple: The more data that we have access to, the more complete our understanding of the city will be.
For the past couple of years, Univrses’ team of scientists and engineers has worked on technology that has the potential to revolutionize city management and operations for organizations operating in urban environments. By deploying mobile camera units on public vehicles operating in the city, a constant flow of real-time data about the urban environment can be accessed. Raw images are processed by our computer vision algorithms “at the edge”. From this, we can derive meaningful data (made anonymous) relevant to the successful functioning of the city. Over time, the movement of vehicles and people can be measured, correlated and predicted. This can help reduce traffic congestions, prevent accidents, reduce pollution and localize crime hotspots. 3DAI™ City also makes it possible to detect damage to infrastructure as well as ongoing road works in real-time, which makes it easier for the city municipality to deploy resources more efficiently. Huge amounts of data are made accessible 24/7, simply by deploying a smartphone on a vehicle that is already operating in the city. No special sensing vehicles adding congestion, cost and pollution needed.
We are now proud to announce that the first version of our smart city platform 3DAI™ City is live. At this moment, our three early adopters Swedish Transport Administration, The City of Stockholm and Taxi Stockholm have access to a constant flow of relevant and actionable real-time city data through 3DAI™ City.
This is a new paradigm in smart city management. Do you want to learn more about it? Visit https://univrses.com/3dai-city/ and stay tuned for further information!
