3DAI™ Reconstruction
A camera mounted on a mobile platform will capture images of a scene from different perspectives as the platform moves. Similarly, a stationary camera will capture images of moving objects from different perspectives. The 3D structure of the object can be determined by comparing these different perspectives. This is useful for understanding the nature of objects around a camera. For example, objects moving past a camera on a conveyor belt can be rigorously examined for faults or defects.
Univrses has developed a state of the art solution for densely reconstructing and measuring 3D objects, a process call photogrammetry. It has been developed with maintenance and inspection applications in mind and can work indoor and outdoor with depth sensors or stereo cameras. The technology developed by Univrses in 3DAI™ Reconstruction can also be used for other applications such as quality control, robot interaction and scene reconstruction.
